2004-05 Season Schedule

2004-05 Schedule Released: With the NHL lockout now under effect this schedule is obviously not going to take place in the current form it is in. If at some point they should happen to settle a new CBA the Islanders may possibly play a variation of this schedule. The Islanders were set to open 2004-05 at home for only the fifth time in franchise history, against Carolina on Oct. 16th. Here are some more highlights: The first meeting against Tampa Bay is set for November 1st at Nassau Coliseum. For those who can't wait for the Islander - Ranger rivalry to get started again, the first regular season meeting is scheduled for November 15th at the Coliseum. The schedule consists of 16 games in the month of November. The only home and home series of the season will take place on January 27/29 against the Buffalo Sabres. The Isles first preseason game is set against the Rangers at MSG on September 23.
