* DiPietro extended his home shutout streak to 185:43 in his 10th career shutout and fourth this season. The last goal he allowed at Nassau Coliseum came with 43 seconds left in regulation of a 2-1 shootout win against Florida on Dec. 9. ... He is only the second Islander goaltender to accomplish 3 straight shutouts at home. Ron Hextall posted 3 straight shutouts on home ice for the Islanders back in February of 1994. ... DiPietro became the fourth Islanders goaltender to record 10 career shutouts. The others are Glenn Resch, Bill Smith and Tommy Salo. ... The last time the Islanders shutout the Rangers was on April 4, 1998 by a 3-0 score. Microsoft does not plan on fixing this problem permanently until another Windows Update in June.
