islesinfo tv - Isles Shutout Rangers 2-0 at NVMC 12/26/06

* DiPietro extended his home shutout streak to 185:43 in his 10th career shutout and fourth this season. The last goal he allowed at Nassau Coliseum came with 43 seconds left in regulation of a 2-1 shootout win against Florida on Dec. 9. ... He is only the second Islander goaltender to accomplish 3 straight shutouts at home. Ron Hextall posted 3 straight shutouts on home ice for the Islanders back in February of 1994. ... DiPietro became the fourth Islanders goaltender to record 10 career shutouts. The others are Glenn Resch, Bill Smith and Tommy Salo. ... The last time the Islanders shutout the Rangers was on April 4, 1998 by a 3-0 score.

Flashback article....Remember this?

* Video Notes - in the video above you will see two black bars along the left and right edge of the screen. That is generated from the medium in which the video was recorded. It's unavoidable but does not detract from the viewing of the video. I wish it could be full screen, but as I said it's just not possible....Remember, it takes some time to initially view a video and for it to buffer depending on what connection speed you have. Obviously it is recommended that you have a high speed DSL or Cable connection....the "click to activate and use this control" problem: if you are experiencing this problem it is not my fault, I promise. It has to do with a recent lawsuit Microsoft lost with another company to provide active content to the web. So if you recently downloaded a Windows Update & have Windows XP SP2 then you are experiencing this problem where you have to click the WMP before it allows you to adjust it. Microsoft does not plan on fixing this problem permanently until another Windows Update in June. So you could either deal with it OR you can download a patch update which will revert your browser to the way it was before. Go here if you'd like to download the update.

Longest Shootout in Isles History vs. FLA, 10/28/06

Tom Poti scores in OT vs. CAR, 10/21/06

* I plan to use this as kind of an Islander TV, where I will post up a different movie as often as possible.

Continuing Highlights of 2006-07 Season

The islesinfo.com Multimedia Section has been discontinued. I made the decision to do this due to abuse of the site. The reason I created this section was to share my collection and memories with fellow Islander fans HERE. Instead, the site and my hard work has been raped by thieves who know nothing of the work it takes to actually post these videos online. All they know is how to steal and then claim the work as their own by posting the videos on YouTube, which has become a big reason why I don't post videos anymore at all. In hindsight I realize that posting the videos, especially the 1993 playoff videos which were pretty rare across the internet, was probably the biggest mistake I have ever made when it comes to this site. I am sorry I had to do this and I am even more sorry to those who know what a great source of Islanders history this was. Perhaps someday I will repost the videos. But for now, after some painstaking debate on my part, I believe that it was best to take this course of action.
