Sept. 22, 2007: Folks, I've had it. I am officially going to start here, right on this page, calling out those who come to this site with the sole motive of ripping off anything I have produced or created: 1. thecanadiac....this person, who lists himself as a 16 year old, has taken 15 videos from off my site islesinfo.com and posted them on Youtube without my permission. I have asked him to take the videos down but he has ignored me. If I find out his name I will post it here so everyone can know what a thief this person is. I am currently in contact with Youtube's copyright department to have the videos removed. I of course do not claim to own the copyright of the game's. BUT, I did produce the video clips. Most of them are watermarked. Many of these clips are rare on the internet and I don't think it is right that someone else should get the credit for posting these videos when it was I who produced them. 2. Does anything on this following site look familiar? Check out the depth chart which has been a staple at the bottom of the islesinfo.com Prospects page for years. I believe imitation is a form of flattery....but lifting things practically word for word? And let me be honest....the entire site is pretty much a rip off of islesinfo.com. Many of the ideas and basis behind the site is an imitation of this one. Plus the "inside information" they claim to have is nothing more than rehash off of hockeybuzz.com. Hey, if someone else wants to run a New York Islanders site, all the power to them. But at least be genuine and not an outright copycat.
Aug. 27, 2007: If anyone reads this before sending me an email, I want to make something clear. This site is for diehard New York Islanders fans. It's not a site to advertise links to your tickets site or whatever ad you are selling. I have kept this site free of ads for close to 10 years and I will continue to do so for my fellow Islanders fans. There's nothing more I can't stand is when I visit a site and it's packed with advertisements. I will not do that EVER with islesinfo.com. - It has come to light that there is a
certain web site out there that is trying to imitate islesinfo.com. Now I
certainly don't claim to hold the market on New York Islanders websites, and
the imitation is actually flattering....but that doesn't mean cutting and
pasting material from this site onto theirs and claiming it as their own.
For instance, this particular site cut & pasted the prospect depth chart
from off islesinfo.com and placed it on their site. It's just not very cool
and I just wish some people would show their own originality.
