2006-07 Update:
April 1, 2007: Stefan Ridderwall played in 7
playoffs games during the month of March with Djurgarden IF's J20
Team. He backstopped his team to the J20 championship
round. In the quarterfinals, Djurgarden IF took on
Brynas IF and defeated them by the scores of 3-2 in game
1 on Mar. 14th and 8-1 at Brynas in game 2 on Mar. 16th
to win the best of three series 2 games to 0. Djurgarden
IF advanced to the Semifinals, where they took on HV71
in another best of three series. They won the series 2
games to 0 by defeating HV71 3-2 in game 1 on Mar. 21st
and Ridderwall posted a 33 save 1-0 shutout on the road
in game 2 on Mar. 23rd. Djurgarden IF advanced to the
finals to take on Frolunda HC. They managed to win game
1 on Mar. 27th by a 4-1 score at Frolunda. But Frolunda
came back with a 2-1 road win on Mar. 30th to tie the
series and give Djurgarden their first playoff loss. In
the deciding game of the best of three championship on
Apr. 1st, Frolunda defeated Djurgarden 2-1 again on the
road to win the series. In the 7 playoff games,
Ridderwall posted a record of 5-2 and allowed only 10
goals against. There are some conflicting statistics
right now for Ridderwall. Some records have him making
45 appearances this season for Djurgarden IF with a 1.62
GAA, 8 shutouts and a .943 save percentage.
March 1, 2007: Stefan Ridderwall played in 4
games during the month of February with Djurgarden IF's J20 Team.
He posted one shutout and has 4 on the season. He has a
1.78 GAA on the season in 28 games played.
February 1, 2007: Stefan Ridderwall posted a
record of 4-0-0 during the month of January with Djurgarden IF's J20 Team.
He recorded his 4th shutout of the season 1-0 vs. Timra
IK on Jan. 21st. He also had wins at HV-71, vs. Brynas
IF, and vs. Linkopings HC.
January 1, 2007: Stefan Ridderwall recently played
for Djurgarden IF's J20 Team in the Raiffeisen Cup 2006.
In 3 games played he allowed only a total of 3 goals for
a GAA of 1.00 and he posted a shutout. In a game against
the Russian team Khimik Mytistchi, Ridderwall was
credited with an assist in a 3-1 win on Dec. 29th.
December 10, 2006: Stefan Ridderwall has played in
19 games this season for the Djurgarden IF J20 Team. He
has posted a 1.93 GAA with 2 shutouts. He was called up
recently to Djurgarden IF of the Elitserien to backup
Teemu Lassila. Stefan's cousin Calle Ridderwall recently
signed a letter of intent to attend Notre Dame in
2007-08. Calle currently plays for Tri-City of the USHL.
November 10, 2006: Stefan Ridderwall is currently
the third string goaltender for Djurgarden IF of the
Swedish Elitserien. While he waits to graduate, he is
backstopping their Junior under 20 team. He has played
in 13 games so far in the 2006-07 season, posting 2
shutouts and a 2.24 GAA.

couple of seasons in Sweden. He has a great deal of raw skill and
