-2006 CSB Mid-Term Rankings-

Erik Johnson Tops CSB Mid Rankings

January 18, 2006: The early consensus on the 2006 draft is that it will be top heavy and then below average the rest of the way. But of course there are always going to be good players to be found. Leading into this year all the hype was surrounded around American C Phil Kessel, but following the recent WJC's D Erik Johnson has stolen a bit of the spotlight and grabbed the top spot in the Central Scouting Bureau's mid season rankings. It should be a good year for Americans as there are a few good forwards and defensemen from the College Ranks available.

Also included are rankings by Red Line Report, International Scouting, and McKeen's Hockey.

Red Line Report's early list (as of May 10, 2006) of the top draft-eligible prospects for the NHL's 2006 Entry Draft next June in Vancouver.
